Chat and SuperAgent in Generate Enterprise

Generate Enterprise’s AI Chat lets users hold natural conversations with an AI that is grounded in their organization’s documents and connected data. Answers include citations to the underlying sources, and conversations support follow-up questions, file attachments, voice input, and live web results. SuperAgent is a separate, page-aware assistant drawer that can be opened from anywhere in the product.

AI Chat answers questions using your organization’s knowledge base and connected tools rather than general web knowledge alone. When a user asks a question, Generate retrieves the most relevant information from indexed documents and connected sources and produces a clear answer that cites where the information came from. Conversations are threaded, so users can ask follow-up questions in context.

Generate Chat supports a range of actions within a conversation:

  • Attachments — attach files directly to a message for instant analysis.
  • Voice input — dictate questions instead of typing.
  • Web search — pull in live results from the web when enabled.
  • Rich content — responses can include formatted text, tables, and other rich elements.
  • Citations and sources — answers link to the documents and sources they draw from.
  • Streaming responses — answers stream in as they are generated.
  • Read aloud — have responses read back audibly.
  • Message actions — copy, regenerate, and act on individual messages.
  • Export — export a conversation for sharing or record-keeping.
  • History and search — revisit and search past conversations.

SuperAgent is a right-hand assistant drawer in Generate Enterprise that understands the page the user is currently on and provides page-aware help — building agents, running tasks, and answering questions with that context. It is opened from anywhere in the product with a click or the keyboard shortcut Cmd/Ctrl+K. SuperAgent is the correct name for this assistant drawer; it is not called “Ask Generate.”
