Knowledge Base in Generate Enterprise

Generate Enterprise’s Knowledge Base is where teams upload their organization’s documents so the AI can answer questions from them. Uploaded files are processed and indexed so they are searchable by meaning rather than by keyword alone, which lets AI Chat and agents return accurate, cited answers grounded in your own content.

How do you add documents to the Knowledge Base?

Section titled “How do you add documents to the Knowledge Base?”

Users upload documents into the Knowledge Base, where Generate processes them and makes their content searchable. Documents can be organized so that the right knowledge is available in the right context — for example, scoped to a specific project. Connected integrations (such as cloud storage and CRMs) can also feed content into the knowledge available to Generate.

How does Generate make documents searchable?

Section titled “How does Generate make documents searchable?”

Generate processes uploaded documents and indexes them using AI so that search is based on meaning, not just matching keywords. When a user asks a question, Generate retrieves the most relevant passages and uses them to compose an answer, citing the source documents. This retrieval-grounded approach is what keeps answers accurate to your organization’s content.

How do you manage documents in the Knowledge Base?

Section titled “How do you manage documents in the Knowledge Base?”
